Half Effort VS Full Effort

“I WANT TO TALK ABOUT 50% EFFORT AS OPPOSED TO 100% EFFORT.”

Ok, here’s an example of what I’m talking about. Let's say there’s a bodybuilder that eats 4,000 calories a day. He works out for an hour and a half a day. He’s not doing any cardio. That’s not too bad. I would say that's probably 5 good meals. That might even be what the average bodybuilder eats every day. Let’s not forget supplements. Food first, then supplements. So, this guy might be using All Day You May, maybe Kill It, or another supplement.

Now let's take that whole thing up a few notches. Let's double his calories. That means he’s eating 8,000 calories a day. Now, his time in the gym jumps up to 3 hours. And let’s say he’s doing half an hour of cardio. More work is always going to mean better results. That will always be true in everything we do in life. The more you put into something, the more you will get out of it.

When it comes to bodybuilding, there's this mentality that you can do too much. People think you can overtrain. They’ll say: “don’t do too much, don’t over train!” No way. That's a weak attitude. That’s not the mindset of a champion. It’s an excuse to be lazy. So, look at those 2 examples. Which one do you think is going to achieve the best results? Obviously 8,000 calories a day, taking your 5% supps, working out 3 hours a day and doing 30 minutes of cardio. What’s the result going to be? Double the gains in half the amount of time! I guarantee it. Stop with the excuses. Just get out there and do it. Get out there and put the time in.

“TAKE MY ADVICE. YOU HAVE TO BE WILLING TO DO WHATEVER IT TAKES. THE HARDER YOU WORK AT ANYTHING IN LIFE, THE FASTER YOU'RE GOING TO GET TO YOUR GOAL, THE BETTER YOU'RE GOING TO BE. IT WILL ALWAYS BE LIKE THAT IN EVERYTHING WE DO. REMEMBER THAT.”
