I began my fitness journey at five years of age when I started the sport of wrestling. From there, I became an avid athlete excelling in football, track, cross-country, and wrestling. Wrestling became my biggest and most accomplished sport, earning state and national accolades throughout my prep career. My athletic career culminated with wrestling for an NCAA Division 1 wrestling program, sadly cut short by a knee injury.
Throughout my entire athletic career, the one constant was the weight room. Even before I picked up a weight, I was hitting my push up, pull up, and sit up numbers for the day. Excelling in the gym became one of my top priorities, not only for the athletic benefits, but the health benefits as well. I always recognized that pushing through intense workouts not only improved my athletic performance, but it also prepared me to face the many challenges one faces in life.
Now, I devote a lot of my time to helping kids reach their athletic and fitness goals. I have been a wrestling coach for an inner-city program for the past five years and see it as one of my greatest blessings in life to be able to do. I do whatever it takes to help these children grow in sports, fitness, and life in general. I feel it is one of my greatest callings and will continue to invest whatever I can in any child sent my way.
