Ever since I started my Instagram page, I’ve seen these athletes, guys, and girls, in fantastic shape, and I always say to myself, “Wow! I want to be just like them. I want to see if I can challenge myself and do it.” It motivated me so much that I just had to see what it would be like to be a bodybuilder, and sure enough, I started competing in 2015 as a figure competitor and moved up to Women’s Physique in 2017. I competed in about five local shows total, and one national show, where I ended winning the overall and attained my Pro Card at the NPC Universe 2018. Now, here I am as a women’s physique pro athlete. Everyone comes up to me and asks me how long it took me to get to where I am now. I’ve even gotten some negative comments about how much muscle I have for a female and why I’d ever want that. Everyone is different. It took me about 2.5-3 years to get to where I am now. I hustled day in day out and got my homework done. If you want it that bad, then you need to push harder every day in the gym to keep reaching and then surpassing goals. As far as the negative comments I get sometimes - my answer to them is always this: “I didn’t do this for you, I did this for ME and only ME because I’m proud to look the way I look in my own skin and body. I know what I sacrificed to get here - busting my butt in the gym and challenging myself to eat right.”
I always tell everyone that failure is not an option. If you want it that bad- then what’s stopping you?
