Isn’t ice cream great? It’s refreshing and delicious, especially on a hot summer day. Here’s ice cream done 5% style with Real Carbs Strawberry Shortcake flavor. Sounds like a decadent treat, right? It might taste like it but it’s packed with good ingredients, from 5% Nutrition Real Carbs powder to low-fat milk and strawberries! Plus, it’s easy to make and it only calls for 4 total ingredients. It’s always time for ice cream!

List Of Ingredients

  1. Food processor or powerful blender
  2. Large container with an airtight lid
  3. 2% milk, 6oz
  4. Cold water, 4 oz
  5. Real Carbs, Strawberry Shortcake flavor, 1 scoop
  6. Vanilla low-sugar ice cream, 1/4 cup
  7. Frozen strawberries, 2 cups

Prep Time: 10 minutes

"Cook" Time: 4 hours in the freezer, or until hard

Total Time: 4 hours & 10 minutes

Recipe Directions

  1. In a food processor or blender, mix frozen fruit.
  2. Add water and milk.
  3. While your machine is still mixing, slowly add 1 scoop of Real Carbs. The mixture will be thick. Add a little water or milk if it seems too dry.
  4. Add vanilla ice cream. This adds flavor and texture. 
  5. Pour into an airtight container and freeze for at least 4 hours.
  6. Enjoy!

Variations

  1. You can use any 5% powder and flavor: Real Carbs, Real Carbs + Protein, or Shake Time.
  2. Use any fruit you prefer. Use frozen fruit for the best results. 
  3. Replace 2% milk with the milk alternative of your choice.
  4. You can replace the ice cream with vanilla extract, but this will change the texture.
  5. To make more, just double the recipe.
