Are You Doing Whatever It Takes To Reach Your Goals?

Are You Doing Whatever It Takes To Reach Your Goals?

“ARE YOU REALLY DOING WHATEVER IT TAKES TO REACH YOUR GOALS?”

Everyone has a different take on what that involves. As far as bodybuilding, it’s eating 8 to 10 meals a day. Are you? What about your 5% supplements? Are you taking your 5% stack every day? What about training? Are you working out 3 or more hours a day? Are you doing cardio? 90% of bodybuilders probably are not doing any of these things. Whatever it takes - you know the slogan. You might be wearing some apparel with it across the front. So why aren’t you doing it?

Look at the guys on the Olympia stage. It's easy to say: "they're loaded up on steroids. That's why they're up there." No way, dude! They’re doing whatever it takes. They train harder and eat more. Of course they use steroids. They still train harder. These guys train like maniacs! Not to mention, they eat like maniacs. They jump on the step mill for an hour or 2 a day. There’s no doubt bodybuilding is hard work. Eating 8 to 10 times a day, that’s hard. Following that with our supplements, that’s hard to do, too. What’s that you say? You don't have time?

Then you're not doing whatever it takes.

Do you have a goal? Do you want to achieve that goal? Then you must be willing to do whatever it takes. And if you're not doing that, you're never going to reach your goal. Never mind what anybody else is doing. What are you doing? Man up and get to it! You can always do more. Never mind this overtraining. That’s a bodybuilding fallacy. It’s an excuse to be lazy. It’s an excuse to not work too hard. You should be in the gym for 3-4 hours. The more you put into it, the more you get out.

Are you planning on opening a business? You should be working on that as long as it takes. If you want your business to be successful, you must do whatever it takes. So, is there ever a time when it’s too much? The last national show I competed in, I talked to the winner backstage. This was before prejudging. The stuff he was doing was crazy. He told me he did the step mill an hour a day with 5 units of insulin beforehand. He did that twice a day on an empty stomach!

I told him he deserved to win this show. That’s because what he was doing could have killed him. I was not willing to do that. No way would I risk death to win a show. That’s where I drew the line. That’s when I decided to get out of competition. Doing whatever it takes does not mean putting yourself in danger. Let’s be clear about that. It should never be a serious health risk. So, I put my efforts into my businesses.

“DO WHATEVER IT TAKES BUT BE HAPPY DOING IT. I'M SUCCESSFUL AND I'M FUCKING HAPPY.”
