“THE 5% MENTALITY IS A PERSON THAT'S WILLING TO DO WHATEVER IT TAKES TO REACH THEIR GOALS. AND THAT IS TRUE FOR BASICALLY ANYTHING IN LIFE.”

When I talk about the 5% mentality, I’m not just talking about bodybuilding. There's much more to life than training. Of course, that’s part of it, and you should give it your best. You should be eating 6-10 meals a day, training hard, and taking your Kill It, your All Day You May, Egg White Crystals, and Crea-TEN. But there’s more to life than that. Yeah, it’s great, but so are these other areas. I’m talking about business, success, education. You should be bettering yourself in every way. In all of these things, not only bodybuilding, but you should also do whatever it takes to succeed.

I talk to bodybuilders all the time. I tell them that if we take what we learn from bodybuilding and put all the energy and hard work into some other area of life, we’d be amazed at what we could accomplish. Let’s say you’re getting ready for a contest. You want to do it right, so you spend up to 6 months preparing for a show. That’s a lot of work. Think about the effort you will put into that show from the first day of prep to the last.

Now put that much effort into building a business, any business. You would have a successful business that could last your entire life. Ok, after all your effort getting ready for a show, you might win a trophy. That’s great. But that contest is done. It’s over and you just go on to the next one. Now compare that to starting your own business. A business could last forever. Think of what you could accomplish. So, I tell people that there's so much more in life. You can accomplish so much if you put in the effort. Think outside the box and do whatever it takes.
