My name is Ilya Golem and I went beyond the normality and turned into a monster. Don’t believe me? Read the stats. At 31 years old, I weigh in at 350lb (158kg) and stand tall at 6.1ft (185cm). My biceps measure 25 inches (63.5cm) around and my chest measures 61 inches (155cm). My personal records include a 600lb bench press, a 700lb squat, and a 700lb deadlift.
My transformation is a result of years of hard training, consistency, discipline and deep knowledge in the field of biomechanics, nutrition and training…and of course, the radiation background from Chernobyl in my home country. I don’t fit in with any typical group of athletes. I took what I liked from each sport and created my own concept. I entered the world of fitness to show you that the impossible, is indeed possible and hopefully I can motivate you to win, succeed and move towards all of your goals.
One of the most important things to me is this: athletes are NOT just all muscles and the physical condition they’re in. It’s so much deeper than that and I urge you to keep this in mind after you read this: what I see is discipline, self-sacrifice and countless hours of determination and hard work. That, my friends, is worthy of deep respect.
One of my aspirations is to show that fitness and physical achievements are so much more than that; they are ways of bringing people together, creating bonds, and helping to push and inspire each other in all aspects of life, not just in the gym and on stage. This way of life creates a certain kind of mentality in people that can be contagious and that is exactly what my mission is:
To instill a work ethic in people and belief in themselves so they can leave all their fears and doubts in the past and take all the confident steps necessary, in creating a better future for themselves and everyone else around them as well.
